Maison Margiela’s Decortiqué Loafer combines traditional craftsmanship with deconstructed detailing. A demonstration of the Maison’s Décortiqué technique, which focuses on the construction. This loafer deconstructs the classic penny silhouette through exposed cut lines and contrasting materials. Crafted from brushed calfskin with a suede strap detail, it rests on a structured rubber sole and features the numeric logo plaque engraved with the number 22, denoting the shoes line within the Maison’s coding system. The design is completed with the signature single white stitch at the back.
