Sheer tea dress

This tea dress is composed in delicate layers of cotton lace and sheer organza. It features pin tucks at the bust, a flat collar, and a tab button-up neckline – details that echo traditional shirting. Originally worn for afternoon tea in the 1920s–1940s, the silhouette is reimagined here in weightless form. Maison Margiela’s signature, the four stitches, appear at the back; the opposite of a label.
